a “new” paradigm of power // 1

Welcome to Relentlessly Authentic Radio and thank you for being here!

Why Relentlessly Authentic? I believe that the more of us showing up in the world whole, as our authentic selves, the better this world becomes. Exploring aspects of being human and bringing more compassion, more curiosity into these spaces, so that we can reclaim soul, both within, and collectively.

On this first episode I am spending some time laying the groundwork, setting a foundation of what I will be building upon as we embark on this journey into the depths of being. I explore what I feel to be a necessary adjustment to how we relate in the world, which is shifting the way we view and relate to power and how it is obtained and held; as well as getting more curious and introspective to tune into the unique truth that resides within you— so that there is more space to meet and receive, from a place of curiosity and non-judgement— for ourselves and the world around us.

a “new” paradigm of power

I believe we must individually and collectively shift the way we view and relate to power; from the current and prevalent “dominator consciousness” which is the power over, scarcity model of power {based on ta belief and acceptance that there isn’t enough for everyone, so someone has to go without and therefore we must compete, take from, stockpile and guard our selves, our resources, in order to survive} and moving into “power with + power for” which recognizes that we are all empowered from within, and that it isn’t necessary to struggle for power, as power shared— openly received and witnessed— can be amplified without depletion of one’s personal power. This is the “new” paradigm of power that I see as absolutely necessary for us to embody, move and act from, in order for this new phase of humanity to have the space to come forward and blossom in the way it has the potential to.

reclaim your truth; be relentlessly authentic

I translate that as listening to soul speaking and leading from that inner space; listening when soul says yes or when soul says no. Thats your truth. And I don’t know your truth… I know my truth, I know what I need, what I want. I know who I am. I want you to know who you are. And I want you to know that you are powerful and you are capable and you are here on purpose. I don’t believe that we have to do anything to prove that we are enough. And we are here also to have this human experience, which is messy. There are things like emotions that come into play. There is grief, there is joy, beauty, there is a lot in between and we are meant to experience all of it. And, empowered from within, we are all divine, as well. We are all inextricably connected by this bigger energy— we are threads in the tapestry— and the more that we come home to self, to soul, to heart; listening and moving in alignment with this purpose that we were brought here to walk in, then the more that we can feel that connection to all. So when I talk about bringing humanity back into it; first it starts with coming home to the humanity within self, and acceptance in love, in reverence, in the sacredness, in the intentional being that you are; so that you can then, with your own personal empowerment be able to walk out into the world and receive others in their humanity; holding more space for forgiveness; for accountability; for peacemaking instead of just peacekeeping; for speaking hard truths when its coming from a place of love, because sometimes the most loving thing you can do for someone, is not to be polite. And learning to dance in all the different tensions of the duality and paradox that it is to be a human being; a divine beings, an infinite being having this human experience…

a note on the process of creation

As I find my bearings in this new endeavor I have felt myself stumbling around looking for a place to start, as there is so much that feels important and relevant to express, and after recording a few “first” episodes, I finally gave myself the same advice I give my clients: do the best you can, get present to this moment and trust what unfolds. It feels important to me to not just talk about embracing the humanity of it all, but to actually walk-the-talk and show the humanity of it all, as we {yes, “we”— this is a co-creation} hold space for and embrace the not so glamorous moments of this process of being human. This includes incomplete expressions and stumbling for words as I find my way to the point and remembering that I can go back and pick up particular threads at a later time if I feel there is more. So here we are. Thank you for witnessing me as I navigate and for being a part of this journey with me.

With gratitude and so much love,
